The Tricolors dominated the game and could have won by a higher margin. “We had a good game. Belarus allowed us to attack and we kept up the rhythm. It's a very important victory for our morale”, coach Alexandry Curteian told the post-match press conference.
“Moldova has a well-knit squad that is doing great in the qualifications. Meanwhile, 7 new players debuted on our side. Moldova were better”, said Belarus coach Igor Kovalevici.
This was the Tricolors' last friendly before the last fixture in the Euro 2015 qualifications. On September 9, Curteian and his boys will play group leaders England in Tiraspol. Unfortunately, the team will have to do without suspended Catalin Carp.
