EU foreign ministers to meet in Chisinau

The meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU member states will take place in Chisinau in autumn, Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean announced in a meeting with a delegation of the Moldovan Parliament, IPN reports, quoting the Parliament’s press service.

The delegation is taking part in the fourth meeting of the Joint Moldova-EU Parliamentary Commission for European Integration that is held in Bucharest on June 17-18.

Titus Corlatean reiterated that Romania wants to be the first country that will ratify the Association Agreement between the EU and Moldova. He invited Moldova’s Head of Parliament and Foreign Affairs Minister to take part in the Romanian Parliament’s sitting where the document will be ratified so as to mark this historical event.

The Romanian official said that after the Association Agreement is signed, Moldova will enter a new development stage and will enjoy new possibilities. He underlined that the administrations of the Romanian Foreign Ministry and Parliament are ready to attend the sitting of Moldova’s Parliament where the accord will be ratified.
