Moldovan ruling coalition to launch information campaign on European integration

The Pro-European Coalition will launch an information campaign on Moldova’s European integration, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Vlad Filat, has said after a meeting of the Coalition’s General Assembly.

“We agreed to start an objective information campaign for citizens, so that they can get truthful information on what they and the country are going to gain within the European integration process,” said Filat.

The leader of the Democratic Party (PDM), Marian Lupu, said that a joint coordination centre would be set up within the campaign, and the MPs and government members would pay visits throughout the country.

The leader of the Liberal Reformists Party, Ion Hadirca, said the participants in the meeting had stressed the need to synchronise the actions of the ruling coalition, in order to correctly inform voters about the European integration process.

Coalition’s General Assembly is a forum bringing together all MPs and ministers of the coalition, as well as the leadership of the member parties. The assembly is convened when necessary, at least once in each semester.
