Twenty persons died and about 130 were injured in the accident that happened in the Moscow metro this morning, July 15. Those hurt include a Moldovan woman. The information was confirmed for IPN by Valeriu Manea, secretary for protocol and the mass media at the Embassy of Moldova in Russia. The woman suffered minor injuries and wasn’t hospitalized.
It’s not yet known if other Moldovans are among the victims of the accident. The Embassy will update the information.
The accident happened in the rush morning hour between the stations “Victory Park” and “Sloviansk Boulevard”. According to the news agency RIA, the dead are all Russians. Of the 129 people hospitalized, 42 are in a serious condition.
